Christmas

This was a great Christmas year; besides the fact that my Uncle is in the hospital & we don't have alot to give our children, nieces, nephews, etc; it was still wonderful. And surprisingly VERY relaxing. If you know us at all you know our Christmas' are anything BUT relaxing & we need like 5 extra days to get over Christmas gatherings etc. This year it was soo different, I think part of that is that we remembered what Christmas is really about and included HIM totally (well as much as we could).

Of course, I've already referred to our Sunday school Christmas party where I was rolling laughing at all the stuff. I thought my sides were going to split open I was laughing so hard. That was on the 21st. so...from there.....Christmas Eve was very low key. We actually cleaned the house on Christmas Eve (it REALLY needed it) and afterward we rewarded ourselves with a Christmas Eve dinner @ Chili's (YUM!! Christel I'm still waiting on our "girl's night out") and stuffed ourselves completly. It was soo good, now Daniel on the other hand, was not soo good. Mom even went into the bathroom & called (as Santa) to see if that would help him behave. It made it sortof worse. I think he was tired & trying to fight something off. Who knows he is three. So we went back home and got ready for Santa to come. We even tracked him & where he was. David was all about that and he was soo funny. Trying to figure out where Santa was & what he could be doing. It is AMAZING how David's little brain works. The kids were in bed before 10:00!! That ALSO is AMAZING, if you know our kids...they don't sleep...well alot.

Christmas morning the kids really didn't want to go downstairs for their presents. I had to remind them of it, but we also had to get ready to go to brunch @ the Burkett's (my Grandparents) home. We got up in plenty of time to get there and actually was able to have an early Christmas morning of opening our gifts. Each of our children got essentially 3 gifts (to represent the 3 wisemen's gift to Jesus) and 1 gift from "Santa" and then 2 stocking gifts. I mistakenly did not have one of Daniel's but that was ok because he really didn't realize that and he now has his gift. We then left to go to FOUR places for the rest of the day. It was enjoyable because we really didn't stay at any one place to get on anybody's nerves (nor the kids acted out).

At Mamah's we had a lovely brunch, boy once again I was stuffed!! It was all soo yummy and we just wanted to eat & eat & eat. We heard the true meaning of Christmas--the story of Christ's birth from my Uncle. Then we just all sortof talked and watched the Grandparent's open their gifts. How awesome is it that they are still here & can open TONS of gifts. They look really great to be there age. We were able to stay just long enough to get a family pic for my Grandmother (who wanted all of us to be there [except Julia b/c they were still in TN]) so we had to wait for a few stragglers. She did get her picture & I'll post it as soon as someone sends it to me. So then we left there....

Once we left we went the "backroads" to Hayden & got mixed up. We weren't really lost, but we could've had gone farther & didn't. It's called I'm used to going to almost Gadsden & saw a familar road took it & then finding out I could've gone farther. Oh well...that's called living & learning huh? Once we got to the Uncle Morrison's house we actually opened presents outside. The kids just started ripping the wrapping off their presents right then & there. It was too funny. We then went inside to eat some more (yummy) food and stayed there for about 2 hours. We talked & caught up with them & looked at pictures from their trip to Germany. It was really neat. Once Grandpa got back with his family we had to leave (but we wanted to say "goodbye" to him) and after saying Merry Christmas & goodbye we left there to go to Grandma's.

We got to Grandma's and because we already had our presents from Grandma we just wanted to spend time with her on Christmas. We watched some of the movie that was already on, had some more (very yummy) food, & then we watched just alittle bit of Charlie & Chocolate Factory. We had already seen it during one of our "Family Movie Nights" but David loves that movie so it was not surprising that he picked it out. We also saw some video of Grandma, Aunt Angie, & Zack's trip from the Atlanta Aquarium. It was soo interesting. We spent about 1hour & half with Grandma before we had to leave to our LAST place.

The last place we went to on Christmas Day is...Pop & Mimi's house for Christmas with them, & my sister & her family. We got there a little bit after Julia, Paul, & Madison but that was ok. We had a sandwich (yes more food ;]) and then the kids played "Santa" and got to open up their presents first. Madison & David were soo funny opening gifts & were looking at what each other got & everything. Daniel was his own little man and just was opening presents at random. It is soo cute I have a pic of him laying on his new PJ's from Pop & Mimi. After presents we chatted for a while and then we headed home around 11:15 (not too bad if I say so myself).

Even though Christmas Day was done our Christmas was & STILL isn't over. On Sat (dec 27th) we went and had a Christmas get together with Rachel & Naomi's Mom. I guess she is our Mom too (that's cool though). So we got to eat again, the kids got stockings stuffed with all kinds of goodies & we even got to open presents with Greg, Rachel, Naomi, Jimbeaux & the kiddos. It was a wonderful time to just get together and fellowship with one another. It also felt like summer. I almost felt like it was a birthday party for me (or Dan Dan). So it really didn't seem like Christmas. Then the party did a complete 360 and turned into a birthday party for the pretty Hannah. She wasn't in the mood for some of the pics & she was TIRED by the time the party came around, but that is ok. She is such a cutie and is still a cutie even when she is tired.

Well now it is time for the new year. I pray that all of you (my bloggy friends) have a wonderfully, blessed, new year, along with great prosperity (financially, spiritually, & physically). I pray for all of you to have great health and that God does wonderful things within your lives. I also pray that HE uses you and that you are able to bring more people to HIM.

Well now that this is a page and a half and that you are like...I'm tired of reading I'll let you go to do...well.... whatever!! HAHAHA!! God Bless you this new year & I hope you & yours had a wonderful CHRISTmas!!

And the Festivities have begun!!

Well first off MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL my bloggy friends!!

The first of the many parties have already happened!! YES they have begun. I LOVE this time of the year. So many people get together have fun and just remembering what its all about--THE PRESENTS--nah just kidding!! Jesus Christ's birth-the one that gave us our "rebirth" is what it is all about.

Alright so MDO (Mother's Day Out for those of you who don't know) had their Christmas Dinner earlier this month. We ate and just had a good time talking with each other. No pictures or anything because it was just dinner.

Ok, now for the more updated parties.... So Sunday we went to church for the candlelight service. I got Daniel out of Sunday School for this service (actually right before it started) and he got to hold the candle and everything. He did accidentally spill wax on my black pants during the service (which we had no time to change) but noone said a thing and it all worked out just fine.

So we raced to Wal-Mart to get some last minute items before our first party after the service. While we were there, Daniel HAD to get a haircut because he thought that he was a barber on Friday night (yes, it was ALL my fault-bad Mommy!!). He no longer has his little boy hair, he has a "big boy" cut. The lady did the best she could considering and its ok considering he is 3, but J.T. cuts it so much better! We also considered getting David's done also, but we decieded not to that day due to time.

We arrived at our first party at about 2:00 p.m. (the party started @ 2:30) while getting the presents and food/drinks etc. out of the car I dropped my camera!! Yes I dropped it and it broke at the top. Now Daniel has also dropped it and it had broke on the battery supply part. This time it broke on top where you push for the picture to take got broke. Ummm, maybe one day I'll have a really good one (that's plastic!!). Thankfully, it was not so broken that it would not work. So I got to take pics of the party- YEA!! We ate some wonderful food, played "Dirty Santa", and listened to some wonderful music played by Elaina on the guitar.

Then we left there & literally high-tailed it back home to drop the kids off before our Sunday School party in Springville. What a wonderful time we had there!! It was an awesome time fellowshipping with the Sunday school classes. That was soo fun, we laughed & laughed & LAUGHED. There were soo many surprises there too!! Unfortunately, I had forgotten my camera in another bag :(. So sad...so no pictures of this party unless someone is willing to share.
I am chuckling as I type this. You just had to have been there!!

Nothing much has happened since I last posted...We lead such boring lives (hahaha!!). I'll download some pictures and put them up when its not like one in the morning. Plus I have long awaited Panama City Beach Pictures that I'll put on here too.

Prayer Requests

Updated on 12/19/08:
I visited Uncle Jerry today. It has been a complete week since I was last up there. David had strep throat (sorry all you Mom's @ CBC I didn't know!!!) and so I wanted to stay home since David had been sitting on me the whole day at the doctor's office. Anyways...off the subject. Dr. Ross, Unc. Jerry's doc, came by while I was there. (I really hate that I was the only one there, I'm soo scared that I'm gonna get something wrong!) He was talking to both of us when he said that he wasn't sure if Uncle Jerry would ever leave the hospital without the ventilator, but did give us hope that he may be going home right after the new year!! Yes, this is good news but also bad news. We really don't want him to go home with the vent. but @ the same time I know how badly he misses his home & my Grandparents. My Grandparents (well our Grandparents) cannot take care of him with the vent..they are just too old & are barely doing well for themselves. He was soo excited, he asked me to call my Dad & then my step-mom. He wanted them to know right away! He also was trying to tell the speech therapist about it when I couldn't figure out what he wanted. I'm still having problems reading lips.

Ok here's the prayer request: We serve an awesome, almighty & wonderful God that can & will do all things if we ask Him in His name (if its in accordance to His will of course). I believe though, we can pray that Uncle Jerry's brain is able to rerecognize his respitory system so that he doesn't need the vent. So if you will & you don't mind write down your prayers in the comments because I'm gonna copy/paste them onto a piece of paper & tape it to his hospital wall so he can see them. Thanks so much for your prayers & comments.

I went to visit my Uncle today in the hospital (St. Vincent's East). He seems (seems being the key word here) to be doing better & Connie told me that he has a loud whisper now, but you still have to read lips. I have found out that I am NOT good at reading lips so if you want to say something bad about me whisper it (LOL!!).

He talked to me a little and he had his breathing treatment & moving (I want to say it was OT) therapy. So it was busy the hour & half I was there. I didn't get to stay long because I had to do grocery shopping, take kids to school, & run a few errands (not necessarily in that order). I am hoping to take my turn sitting with him and just being there for him (& my Grandparents). The kids & I were sick just about the same time Uncle Jerry was put in the hospital in Gadsden. Now that we are all well & he is closer to us than I have no excuses or reason not to go.

"Christmas in the Park"

This past weekend our churchs preschool & children's choirs sang during the morning worship. The children, workers, Mrs. Shalita & Mrs. Jane (as well as all the Mom's & Dad's) worked hard to make it an excellent program (which it was). I was soo proud of David. He really has grown up some more since last year & he is getting better & better every year about standing still more & just letting it slide if he messes up. He does still need the "help" of a worker to reassure him (Mrs. Janet was the lucky one this & last year). This is okay though. At least he is getting better.

Afterwards, we high-tailed it to Wal-Mart to take pictures with Santa, eat, & we ended up shopping some too (of course). We took pics with Santa first because I knew that it would take FOREVER for them to be ready (which it was!!) and then we ate at McDonalds. We had a very limited time at Wal-Mart because we had to be back at the church by one for the adult choir practice (our program is the 14th!) and we needed to rehearse. Gary is a perfectionist and wants it to be an excellent program as well. We sang for about two hours and then we went home to rest before we had to go back to church.

Around 5:30 we were back at church (yes, this time of year we LIVE at our church) for the annual Christmas dinner. It was really good and the kids had a really fun time once someone began to film them as they wandered around and went to the stage. My kids were pretty good, Daniel had only a 30 min nap so he was irritable & whiney, but other than that all was well. Daniel got over all of his tiredness by the time the kids were playing around and he joined them (of course). Ahh, to be young again!! (Sorry, no pics of this)

Sunday night/early Monday morning Daniel came into our room saying something (honestly, I was more asleep than awake) and he was telling that he was "sick to my tummy" before I got puke-ied all over me (well my nice warm blankets, YUCK!!). About 30 min or so later David came in also complaining about his tummy. Then after those two were back to sleep (in our bed by the way) Joey got up sick to his tummy and so he & the boys stayed home on Monday. I unfortuantly had to get up for my final exam in math. Which I made a B on my final & I believe I made a high B for the class--YAY ME!!!!. I won't really know what my grade is because they don't grade like that it is "P","NP". or "I". At least I got a "P" on my first try. (OOOOOHHHH Christel!! Ready for some Chili's to celebrate!! Our old tradition~~remember.) I can NOT wait.

The Birthday Party

Hey all :-). Well David's birthday party was almost a week ago & it has almost been that long since I was on my laptop. So I had to catch up on all the blogs I read, e-mail, myspace, facebook, etc. I am very behind. This has been a very busy week (if you could not tell).

We had such an awesome time for David's 9th birthday party. We had just a small get together at Chuck E Cheese in Vestavia for him. We started the tradition of going to Chuck E Cheese when David was like 3 turning 4 and he had been soo sick. I was also prego with Haley & VERY tired. So we went (as a family of 3) to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate on the actual day of his birth & had a party seperate.

I want to thank all the people who came (or allowed their children to come) to be part of this special time with David. It wouldn't have been the same without you & it was much appreciated. David had a blast!! Thanks again.

Now that that is out of the way...On to the Christmas festivities. They have begun officially (well actually it started when the choir started to meet longer & on Sundays [not that I'm complaining!!] ) I LOVE this time of the year. I love sitting in my living room with the lights off to watch my tree flicker. I love to put the ornaments on the tree and look and reminiscence about each one which child did it, so on. I just love it!!! I think everyone gets the idea. This time of the year brings back soo many good memories from my childhood and the traditions that have been kept over the decades. I want my children to have the same fond memories also (about all holidays, but especially Christmas).

The tree finally got put up, 3 days after I wanted it up. I had to climb into the attic and get everything down (Yes, I'm impatient) and I roped David into helping me. As you can imagine, it took twice as long but it was mostly done when Joey got home (imagine that!!). He did have to help do somethings. He knew that I wasnt happy that the tree wasn't put up when I felt like it should (I had a bahumbug attitude at the time ;-]). Well some pics will be on here to honor the Morrison tree, that the cat loves to attack and climb on. He SOOO needs to be outside, but our neighborhood just isn't "cat" friendly. Plus, we've had several kitties "kitten-napped" from our front porch!! They would bring Rascal back quickly though!! Look in the pictures to see Rascal, & Daniel. They are somewhat hidden if you're not looking for them so take a peek and see.

Well it is late & I am soo tired. I've been ready for bed for hours now. Time for sleep, Hurray!!! Hope you all are blessed this weekend & see some of ya soon :-).

My Thanksgiving Birthday Boy

Well today is the FIRST time I held a newborn (9 years ago that is). Yep that's right, it is David's birthday today...YAY!!!!

I cannot describe to you how I felt this day nine years earlier, but what I can do is describe "Black Friday" (the day before) and this day as I remember it then. Oh wow, I cannot believe how long ago this is...

Ok, so my pregnancy was pretty normal as normalcy goes in pregnancies. Of course being a first time Mom-to-be I looked to my friends & peers for guidance & help when I needed it. So some of thismy be T.M.I. but its what happened & I'll be nice I promise. So here we go...

I was working at Bailey's Gallery during my pregnancy with David (you might have heard of this store..there was one in Brookwood Mall & Eastwood Mall also) and so the closer it got for me to deliever the less my hours were (even though the hospital was 5 minutes down the road). So all my friends (and my Mom) was working on Black Friday and I was bored so I went up to the mall to see if I could work some (& I needed to do some last minute shopping before David was born). So after I shopped I begged my boss to let me work and she was like no, you can go home rest and come in tomorrow. So Mom put me to work by buying some Christmas presents for her 2nd nieces & nephews and doing some other Christmas shopping for her at Century Plaza. I happily went on my way spending my Mom's money for the list of people she gave me.

Later on that night, around 7 or 8ish, I went back to Eastwood and a friend & I went to the food court to grab a bite to eat and to see Joey (he worked at Sabarro's @ Eastwood, Century, Brookwood, etc) so we were talking birthing and all because I had felt a small gush of water earlier & wondered if my water had broken. She told me how it was for her & we both concluded that it wasn't and went about our business of making mischief (which was one of our favorite pass times at this mall) for the security guards.

So finally, Mom talks me into going back to her place (she had cable & we didn't) so I can rest and all. I wait until I know Joey should be home soon after I am and I leaver her home around 12 or 1 a.m. When I arrive home & park my car completly stops in its parking space (of all nights) and so I have to wait up for Joey and tell him about the car & my suspecions about being in labor. Joey goes out to the car & I get on the phone with my Mom (I know I had just left her). She talks me into calling the hospital and when they FIANLLY call me back they tell us to come in so they can observe me, but they probably would not admit me.

So about 4 am Joey & I are in HIS vehicle headed for Baptist Montclair (now Trinity) to see if I am really in labor. I walk in from the parking deck all the way up to the birthing floor and they were like ther is NO WAY you are in labor, but they hook my tummy up to all these gadgets and observe David's heartrate and all. Around 10 or so in the morning my Mom, sister, & her finance at the time show up along with the nurse saying that she was ordering an ultrasound. It turned out that all the little gushes of water that I had been feeling throughout the night had been little membranes breaking to my water and there was only a little bit left and David was freaking out so to speak. So they decieded that a emergency c-section was the best route since they thought that his heart would not take going thru the birth canal (he was in distress).

So at 11:32 am this cute little naked baby was held up to me (that I really couldn't see b/c I didn't have in my contacts)and then was taken away to be cleaned, weighed & examined by a pediatrician. He weighed 6lbs 15ozs and was 18 3/4" long. As he was in the process of being prepared to be taken to the NICU I was taken back to my little room and had my own little battle. My blood pressure sky rocketed & they had to give me magnesium to bring it down. They did bring me a picture of David to "help me pull thru" and so my sis-in-law & Joey stayed with me and nursed me back to where I was good to go for the next morning. Good thing too, the nurses didn't take very long to move me up to another room it was 6 am when they did so. I guess they needed the space (Hahaha).

A Trip to the Movies with a 3 year old & Christmas Shopping

Well another week has come and gone and Thanksgiving is upon us. One of my most favorite holidays, partly because my oldest will be celebrating this week his 9th birthday (more about that on his "special" day).

Daniel & the Wall-E sign @ the movies, did I mention it was just a buck for each of us, BONUS!!!

Now on to this past weekend....David & Nana went to Tennessee to visit my Sister & her family so Joey & I thought that we should have a "Daniel's Day" sort like we had for David earlier. So we took him to supper (his choice [McDonald's of course] and then a movie. We saw Wall-E and Daniel did pretty good for his first show. He had SOO many questions about Wall-E's feelings and what was going on that we thought some movie patrons would complain, but they didn't and a couple actually commented on how cute he had been. (Hooray!! No real complaints!!). We did not get out of that movie until about 9:30. Daniel did get sleepy toward the end and wanted his cup so he could go to sleep. He finally gave it up without his cup and slept soundly ontop of me. We even got a picture with him asleep by the Wall-E sign to help him remember the first time he got to see a movie.

On Saturday, Joey had to work so Daniel & I just sort of lazed around the house in the morning. Around lunchtime we decieded to get some Christmas shopping done. Needless to say, Daniel is done with ALL his Christmas shopping. YEA!!! All that is left is getting me something and David doing his. This is amazing & good. Saturday evening we also did somemore Christmas shopping with Joey. I wanted to go to some stores, but night by myself @ night & it was a good thing too. On this particular night Dollar General in CenterPoint by Bruno's got robbed (or so we heard). We were in Fred's when this happened (it must've been sooo scary, I feel for the poor girl that got robbed). We then went to Dollar Tree to do some more shopping, but this time in Trussville.

Sunday was busy, busy, busy as always. Church days always seem to be soo busy especially with the Children's Choir about to perform and then the Adult Choir performing a week later. We're living at the church basically on Sundays.

Well, David & Mom are off this week, I have 1 day of school this week, Daniel has 1 day also (yes sort of surprising), & poor Joey has to work ALL week long. I have promised him a plate on Thanksgiving with my Grandparents. Poor thing, but he does get time & a half for pay--YEA!! I can't wait to be able to sleep in @ least one day during the week ( I hope they let me!!).

Hello Friends!

• Well this past week I got to experience what life would be like if I was single. I know one thing...I would not be able to go back to school with my kids their ages that's for sure. I know lots of women who do, but I wouldn't be one of them. I now have more respect for these women than I ever had before (which I already had alot in the first place).   Joey got back from the trip just in time for Daniel's fall program at his new school. He did SO good & I was soo proud of him (he had only 3 days to prepare). If I can get some footage downloaded I'll share with ya.

This past weekend we just had alot of "family/daddy" time. The kids really missed Joey and wanted to spend most of their time with him. They played Spongebob Monpoly together, & then we all (including Nana) went to Kohl's to shop together too. We found some peoples Christmas presents there too :). I was glad that I went, even though I had a coupon that I didn't use, & I found some awesome deals. I was very upset though that I didnt find anything for the boys to wear on Chrsitmas day :(. We then went to Dollar Tree & Wal-Mart for a few things.

Sunday we went to church & had an awesome sunday school lesson on "what WE ,as a class, are thankful for" Mark had gone the sunday before & then it was our turn. It was awesome finding about what some of our fellow "classmates" are thankful for. What are you thankful for? Let us know!! Then we had an equally awesome service on we being aliens here on earth & wanting to be in heaven. He had me crying at some points of the service. Afterwards, we had lunch with our good friends (you know who you are!!). We always love to fellowship with them, but now its very far in between. Then we went to Children's Place & I found some shirts & cooridnating pj's!! I was soo excited, but I might be taking them back. This is the time when money is very tight for us and well quite frankly I might need it to get some Christmas presents. I haven't decieded yet!!

Wow!! What a weekend that we've had.......

The Pumpkin Globe.

It started off with a "Pumpkin Globe" school project for David's class (can we say FUN!!,NOT). I have pics of us doing it, but none of the "finished" result. Well teachers, as a parent reflecting back on this project, PLEASE don't send home a project that envolves a pumpkin unless it is in OCT not the end of Oct/Nov. The reason is because it was VERY hard to find a pumpkin after Halloween (which is the day I first saw the project). No, you wouldn't think that the supermarkets,Walmart,etc would run out due to Thanksgiving (One of my favorite times of the year) but for future reference THEY DO!!! So Joey does the outline for the land part of the globe (yes, we did all contribute even Daniel & Nana!!). Then he got up early Sat morning to leave for Indiana for the week :-(.

This is Daniel. High up in the sky on the bungy thing. Wow!! I was just a little nervous, but he loved it!! :-D

This is David on it. The lady actually left him so he wasn't able to go up as high as he should've been able to. Nana took this one! :-D

On Saturday, The kids, Nana, & I went to Homestead Hollow (it's a big deal b/c I've never been) there I was able to get all the kids "main" teachers (from school) a Christmas present. I'm so glad & it really didn't cost me that much (which is also good). About 1:15 or so we left to go to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. So Nana was going to take one of them & I was going to take the other, but David found out that we were going to get some food & he wanted a cookie so I ended up with both of them. This is a treat for my boys b/c I DONOT shop with them at Wal-mart. It is always a special treat for them both to go with me (especially Daniel).

So afterwards we went to Naomi & Jmbx's house to have some good ol' family fun & food of course. It was so YUMMY I got to say (no, I didn't cook anything I just picked something up for Wal-mart!). We stayed really late (about 9:00pm) considering that we'd been up since like 7:00 or earlier & Daniel did not have a nap. So we came home & snoozed until it was time to get up for church.

Sundays are always very busy for us. So after getting the kids & myself up, bathed, dressed, & out the door we stopped into the Holy Grounds for some breakfast. So I guess technically we were late, but we weren't late either. I had extened session with Daniel's class and then we went to Burger King for lunch. We came home & finished up school work as well as AWANA verses and all. Then we headed back to church for drama rehersal, preschool/childrens choir, & AWANA. Then home for wienies, bath, homework, & bed.

Geeze, I think we did alot this weekend don't you?

An update on Daniel's school: He still seems to like it, but seperation anxiety has come into view & he boohooed all morning this morning because he didn't want to go. I think it's just because it is SO different than what he is used too. He does good over there though so I'm not too worried about it. I think it's just b/c there is alot of differences going on at this moment in his life & that is the one thing that was the newest.

Well I guess this is all for this blog. Gotta get these boys under control & get them ready for bed. NO SCHOOL or MDO tomorrow!! HORARRY!!! (um, & boo not much money!!)

The News(?)

No one has even asked about "the latest news" in the Morrison household, hummmm..... Guess no one wants to know LOL!!.

Well I'll tell ya anyways. Daniel got into 3K!! I know it is sort of late, but they had an opening & they wanted to take him so we decieded that we should jump @ the chance.

Sooo, for all of you CBS people that read our blog, starting @ the new year you will see my little man there (sniff, sniff). My Baby is getting soo big [sigh]. He is there now but only on Mon & Fridays.

When we first walked in he had this death grip on me around my waist and on my shirt. He loosened up when his teacher, Mrs. Beth, began to introduce Daniel to all his new friends. Then I think is when he began to look around and he noticed some things that he wanted to check out. So of course it didn't take him long to get warmed up and he began to play.

I picked him up around 3 and he had just woke up from nap (ahh naptime, one of my favorite times) and he told me about his day. I was soo excited for him & I believe that he had a fun time. Ask him about his new school when you see him again :). Oh, Pics will be up soon.

PTL: Halloween is OVER!!!!

Thank you Lord, Halloween is over and now we just have to consume (or hide) all this candy that we've gotten.

We had a great time @ Gardendale First Baptist Church's carnival style Fall Festival. It was soo much fun. Although, I think we got their sort of late & didn't get to do all the rides and everything. I guess that's ok though. We have soo much candy (due to Daniel doing all the candy games) and now we have to eat it (or hide it from Daniel). Of course here are some pics.

Well the very next day after my last post I went to party city after picking Daniel up from Cindy. I ended up getting 2 costumes & not just one (of course). I couldn't explain to Daniel why he couldn't have one & so I just went ahead & caved in. Pictures of the Green Power Ranger & the USA football player will be added soon. Oh and I found the shirt I thought we had gotten rid of in the closet (it was hiding from me). Now Daniel has 2 shirts, one that we had & the other is a "pumpkin shirt" from Mother's Day Out when they went to the Great Pumpkin Patch last Thursday (maybe Brandi got some good pics-we shall see).

Our church had their annual Fall Festival this past Saturday. I was bad and didn't sign up to help but I did bring candy & drinks & I TRIED to bring friends but they ended up not being able to come :(. It was soo much fun this year. We stayed probably about 2 hours or less and the kids had some great fun. They, well Daniel, was soo tired. He fell asleep pretty quickly that night.
We had also planned on going to Old Baker Farm on Saturday morning, but God had other plans for us and we (well Daniel & I) ended up going to see my Grandmother, Grandfather, & Uncle instead. It was great seeing them and being able to spend some time with them. AND Daniel was able for the first time to be alone with Mama Jo and play with her. He seemed to enjoy his one on one time with her & she seemed to enjoy this time she had with Daniel.

Last Wednedsay & Sunday was extended choir rehersal time & so we felt like we hadn't even left the church from Saturday evening to Sunday morning to Sunday evening--I guess its a good thing we live so close ;-)

I guess that is all for now... I do have some news (don't know if it's exciting) but I'll save it for when I know something for sure. If you want to make guess feel free... Bye for now

A look into our lives...

Hello all :)



Well Halloween is upon us (mostly 2 more weeks!!) and as always I don't have any costumes for my kids. I do think that Daniel will most likely wear one that we already have from David (Yay for hand-me-downs!!) So that just means that I have to purchase a new one for David. Not sure what he wants or anything. I'm sure that it will come to me (hopefully soon). Our church's annual Trunk or Treat Fall festival is next Saturday (on the 25th) @ 6:00 p.m. So I need to figure it out soon huh? Other than that David does have a "halloween" t shirt that he can wear to school, but (this time it's switched) Daniel does not have one to wear to school. I have honestly thought about just buying a regular black t-shirt & getting some white fabric paint & doing that ghost thing with his foot (who thinks this is a good idea?), but I'm not sure what I'm going to do.



O.k. so this past week was homecoming week for UAB (GO BLAZERS!!) and they had this past whole week with lots of plans (of course). Well, I had an appt with my Doc on Friday (more on this later) so I deceided to take Daniel to the parade on that Friday. So we get up on Friday morning get David off to school & its sprinkling so I was like they'll probably cancel the parade (which they did) so no UAB parade for Daniel =(.



On the note of UAB, I'm doing pretty decent in my math class. I'm sooo relieved. I'm awful at math but the way they have it set up you wouldn't know it =-). I was so distracted before my 2nd test (it was on this past Wed 15th) so it was hard for me to "study". I actually did better than the first one!!



Oooo, Daniel is pretty much potty trained now (Yay!!!). This past week he only had like 2 accidents and that was earlier in the week. I am SO proud & happy see... =-]



Last weekend I went to a sweet couple's wedding. Naomi & I drove down to T'town (yes I did go there & DIDN'T get hurt!!) found this beautiful home where they were married and stayed forever. It was very beautiful & it was wonderful to see these 2 friends that I never get to see anymore. This weekend we really didn't do anything. We rested all weeked long!

Well yes folks, Joey got himself a new car about a week or so ago. It is really nice car that just needs a tune up and that is it. He has to (of course) get the tag changed over and everthing else and that is taking some time. He was soo frustrated one day about all of it.

Tired after a full day

Well our weekend (at least Daniel's & mine) started on Thursday night when we went to one of Daniel's Sunday school's friends birthday party at Pump It Up in Trussville. David went with us and he had an awesome time also. Daniel was SOO tired that he went to sleep by 8:30 that night. Poor little thing MDO, Wal-Mart, then a party at Pump it Up no wonder why he was fighting with his brother on the way home. David loved getting out the energy that he had bottled up and he slept well that night also.

Friday was a great day too. Cindy & I got to eat out at Milo's (like we used too). We had our kids that weren't at school but that was ok. It was still great fun. Daniel was still so tired that he took a long nap on Friday too. Oh, by the way, if you're wondering about potty training he has done an ok job. On this particular day he did an awesome job :-D I was soo proud of him. Friday night I worked on my homework and then went to bed sort of early.

On Saturday we went to watch Mark play soccer in Springville. I did this because I wanted him to see if he thought he might would want to play. The plan backfired on me though and all he did was complain. He AND Daniel complained about the heat, being hungry & thirsty, & wanting to go home!! I felt so bad because Mark had invited us & all they did was complain about it all. I'm thinking soccer is NOT in our future (haha). Although, I already knew that. They both want to take swimming lessons & then possibly find a swim team for them both. Daniel might like to play soccer, b/c he likes kicking the ball around & everything.

Sunday we went to church (while there we heard an awesome message about knowing God will answer our cries) and then went to Bradford Park for the church's annual picnic. The food and company was awesome, but lots of ants & yellow jackets. Afterwards, we went to my Grandmother's 80th birthday celebration. It was nice to be around the family and listening to our foundest memories of Mamah. She got a lot of great Auburn gifts & shirts that she can wear. We love you Mamah & Happy Birthday!!!!!!
