A birthday party,Fathers Day, and the Splash Pad

Ready to go!? Just kidding. He has found out he likes to get in this way. Notice the door to the car is open on HIS side. This has NOTHING to do with this post, haha!

Well I know I am late posting for Father's Day and we had a lovely one, Thanks for asking :). So I am going to TRY to play catch up posting right now. For the record if you have been following me on Facebook (I don't tweet sorry) yes I have studied and I have answered ALL of my lovely midterm questions. So on to the real fun now!!
Mamah & Big D .

Father's Day weekend was when...well anyways, I know that my last post was Lil D's birthday party and a Memory Book Monday so I will go from there. I think Father's Day was the next weekend.

Lil D & M @ her birthday party showing off what he (I) got her.

First though I MUST mention a sweet little curly blonde haired girls birthday party. We had so much fun there and Lil D had a blast on the slide, eating cake, & watching her open up her present- Thank You again for inviting us!!

Lil D going down the slide :)

The next day was Father's Day and I did not make plans to see my father, but I DID call him. The reasons why I did not make plans to see him was because 1) I had seen him for the past 2 weekends & 2) I thought I had class (we got done early the day before-YAY!!!) So we just went on to our night time plans that we had made. They were to visit my Mom's parents at their home. We weren't the 1st there but not the last either. The kids had a ball playing around in the house and outside.

The boys with my Grandmother :)

But because we were SO close to Joey's Dads house I encouraged him to go see them and so he did taking the kids- who wanted to go. So they go to Grandpa's home to see him and give him his picture framed present. They stayed there FOREVER and the dinner actually had finally gotten to my Grandparent's home.

Lil D, Big D and Mamah.
While at my Grandparent's home I got to spend some time with my sweet cousin who is 9 months pregnant and got to look at her pictures that she has taken recently of her baby to be's room, baby shower, and the mountains. It was so much fun to look at all her things she got for baby C and just talking with my family. They also got this cute little burnette to come over and see all of us. She is VERY beautiful and when Lil D came back she was there & he liked her.

My sweet cousin and her sister at Easter.

Joey told me after he got back that there was an incident that happened at Grandpa's house with my youngest son. Now if you know my children AND you know me than YOU know that my children are not perfect & can be a little hyperactive at times but on this particular day they seemed to have been on their best behavior (PTL!!) and you know that I will let other's get onto my children if other's see something they don't allow, etc. BUT my Step-Mom-In-Law took it upon herself to get onto my child, in a way that I am NOT very happy with -by the way, when my youngest had taken "too many toys" of the toybox. Oh, on a side note, they were having problems that day & she took out her frustrations on MY child, so NOT COOL!!!
At the Splash Pad

On Wednesday, I was able to be off and study for my final, help my Mom go to her school to drop off some of her Amsti things for her classroom, and then we went to find the Splash Pad there, visiting Sonic, and then taking a nap afterwards. Here are some pictures of Lil D at the Splash Pad. (FYI Big D is at Day Camp with the church during this time of the splash pad!)

Having fun at Splash pad

This is his favorite!!

Memory Book Monday!!

Good day all! For the next couple of Monday’s (or Mondays when I can) I will be doing memories from Lil D’s baby book.
This is about Lil D’s first VBS. We were going to Carson Rd Baptist Church and they were doing the Ramblin’ Road trip. At first they were going to do VBS the week that he was going to be born and then at the last minute they moved it to July. So I was able to go to it, but I did not get to get a t-shirt. I was also able to stay for the entire thing in 2005! I was still on maternity leave. I mainly stayed in the craft room to help in there get crafts prepared and things. I was also nursing Lil D at the time so he got to stay with me. It was fun to be able to be involved and to be able to have Lil D with me the entire time.
Big D was there too, of course. He was enjoying himself thoroughly and was having too much fun. I remember that Joey was able to win the bag from which all the stuff came in and we used it for the next year’s beach trip =) .
In all it was a GREAT VBS that year!! And we always look forward to many more VBS’ in the future :]

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. These are so fun to do and it is such good therapy (seriously-I am being so honest).

• I did NOT complain about VBS & Lil D’s birthday being the same week (or at least not just a little bit)
• I did NOT have TWO helpers for my VBS/MDO class and did NOT enjoy having these two teens with me helping me. I love getting to know the teens in our church.
• I did NOT study for my bio 111 test during choir practice and wasn’t trying to memorize a song AND the small/large intestine.
• I did NOT get aggravated at my sweet boys when time slipped away from me on Friday while I still did not feel that I had studied enough.
• I did NOT change Lil D’s birthday party A week before the date & I certainly don’t expect people to come. (PLEASE COME!!) Or (I’m glad you came!!).
• I did NOT do this post during my 4 hour Saturday class during a Q & A time (not on any of my test).
* I did NOT let my friends kids (& my own) get soaked this morning just for the fun of it. No NEVER me.

Lil D's Birthday Party

The YUMMY cake! It was soo cute.

Well, yesterday (June 13, 2009) we had my little man’s birthday party. I had it all PERFECTLY planned out in my head. Then the perfection started to fade starting at 3 p.m. (don’t you hate when your plans have been changed!). First off my sweet hubby decided that he shouldn’t get ready until right at 3:30 (Lil D’s party was @ 5 p.m.) and Chuck E Cheese is about 35-45 minutes away!! We still needed to get the cookie cake from Wal*Mart and our Wal*Mart is a MAD house by our house on Saturdays (but whose isn’t?).
Singing "Happy Birthday to You"

So anyways, we FINALLY get to Chuck E Cheese and the line is OUT the door! UGH!!! Once again my perfectly laid out plans are down the drain. We have never had this problem before and the kids are restless and it is so hot & humid. So I decide to go check out the local park that is close by and then we decide that we will go back to Chuck E Cheese later on the night.

Blowing out the candle.

The kids seemed to love the park and had a great time running around playing in the unique playground. Joey & his brother went to get drinks & chips and then we had cookie cake there as well as opening up the presents. The kids got to play until around 7 p.m. and then we went back to Chuck E Cheese to let Lil D play there and everyone else too.
The group :]

We had a great night and had lots of fun with family and friends. THANK YOU TO ALL who were able to come & I know that some of you couldn’t due to certain circumstances, but that’s ok. You were missed but we understand. :)
Pictures will be up soon :]

Lil D turns FOUR!!!

Well today is my baby’s birthday. WOW, four years go by awfully fast when you are having fun with two very active boys that is for sure!! Now Lil D’s birth story….

In the wee early hours of June 10th 2005 Joey & I were headed to the hospital for the birth of our 2nd son. We had a 7 am appointment & had to be there by 6:30 a.m. Once we got to the hospital we got lost going to L & D so we were a little bit late (HA!! Who gets lost trying to find L & D?). I finally, well we did at least, found L & D and when by the time I got hooked up to get ready to have my sweet baby boy I was already having contractions. Yippee!! Was this really important? Naw, not really, I was having a c-section so it really did not matter if I was in labor or not. I was, however, thankful that he was ready to be born that day and that he would have been coming soon anyhow. By 7:48 a.m. Daniel Allen Morrison made his appearance to the world via c-section by my OBGYN. He was 7lbs 9 ozs and 20 ¾ inches long. I was finally able to get a room after about 10 am that morning and I was ready to see my newest addition to my family. Even Big D was excited to welcome his baby brother and could not wait to see him. Lots of family and friends came to visit us while we were in the hospital and were excited to welcome him into our family, lives, and our home. We were able to come home by Monday afternoon with some begging by me to my doctor and settle into life with two kids.

Two weeks later we were headed to Gulf Shores, Pensacola Beach, & then Panama City Beach for a family vacation for 10 long days with a newborn!! What a trip that was!!! But I guess that will be for another post.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET BABY BOY!!! I love you bunches and bunches & I am so glad you are all mine. Love, Momma.

P.S. Pictures will be up soon :-) UPDATED: Pics are here, see!!

The first weekend in June

Well this weekend was a big one for our family.

Friday I took the boys for summer hair cuts and then high tailed (literally) it to meet Mimi & Pop in Moody/Leeds so they could keep the boys that night. Of course, as late as I was they still got there after me!! I was like 30 min late getting there but I told them that I would be later b/c I had to go back home to get light jackets for the boys because they were going to go to a block party in a nearby city. During the boys' fun I had a wonderful (HA!) four hour class on Human Biology. The BEST thing about this class is that it will be over at the end of June, YIPEE!!! After class though, Joey and I took advantage of having NO children and went out to eat. It didn't matter that it was 10:00pm it was just about going out & being together (Not to mention that I was STARVING).
Saturday I got up early (Yes, me and may I add a hearty YUCK here too) and went back to school for my class in bio. Once again I was there for four LONG hours but keep in mind (& I write this for myself too) it will be over on the 27th of June!! Afterwards, I came home got things ready to go & we headed up to the lake to go to Mimi & Pop's house for some summer fun , food, & study time.

The boys got to play on the airthing water slide, they swam in the lake, they fished, they rode bikes, got to drive the golf cart around the neighborhood, went to catch lightening bugs, ate a great grilled meal, and talked with Mimi & Pop about some more summer fun in the near future. I was happy b/c I got to study without interruption, I got some great pics, & I didn't have to figure out what was for supper & prepare it. No I didn't get to get on the slide, swim in the lake, lay out, or drive the golf cart but..hey it was great study time & the boys were having a BLAST (isn't that what matters the most?).
Sunday morning we got a wonderful message about not giving up on us & what GOD's promises are. It was a GREAT message!! Honestly, I really did not want to get up. Lil D was and is burnt, bad and he has been whiney ever since. Big D was sleeping soundly in his bed & I just wanted to do the same. BUT I AM SOOO GLAD I WENT!! I was entirely blessed by the message (that is what it is supposed to be about anyways). Sunday night the kids had "water wars" and they got to slide down the blaster water slide air thing (again) but this time it was later & no real chance of burning anymore (YAY!!).

This morning kicked off our church's VBS. I am not able to take pics this year (boo!!) but I know that the boys will still have fun. They have many things planned for them and they will bring home many stories and crafts.

What If?

You know it is so easy to say “What if this happened” or “What if I would’ve done that instead” but like a say a lot of times you cannot what if _____happened instead of what really happened. Does this seem confusing to you? If it does than you obviously have not ever questioned your actions, what you said, what you could/should have done and etc. If it is not confusing than you probably know exactly where I am coming from!!

Like the baby that I miscarried @ 17 years old, yes I was young & yes I had NO CLUE of what I was getting myself into & I did learn from my actions (well..sort of!). I have finally officially named my miscarriage “Angel Baby”. His/her name is Anela which is Angel in Hawaiian. I was only 10 weeks into the pregnancy so I have no clue what that baby’s sex was. I was looking online for a unisex name the other night and found this one! Does this seem silly to you, well it shouldn’t. There are what if’s within this pregnancy for me. What if...I would have done what the OBGYN had told me to do would it have saved this certain baby? What if I wasn’t doing the things I shouldn’t have been doing? AND most importantly What if I would have taken my VERY smart Grandfather’s suggestion & just kept a quarter on my knees & not let it fall off!? I would have never gotten into the mess I was in or had the hurt I had with this certain guy, as well as our mutual “friends” (I use this term very lightly!!). Would I have this baby, or would I have even gotten mixed up in all of that. I cannot say, all I can say is that I learned my lesson from that experience & I am much more careful with whom I hang out with (esp.: know that I am saved).

Another what if is, what if I would have walked down that aisle as a child to become a new being in CHRIST instead of waiting until I was in my twenties (YES, I was in my 20’s when I finally accepted CHRIST!!). Would my life be different now? Would I still have Joey, Big D, & Lil D? or Would I be down a completely different road (a much easier one, harder)? That is not what was for me though in my walk. I had to learn the hard way & do it my OWN way (how funny it is that we do it our way first and then GOD’s!) before I turned to GOD and asked HIM to help me because I could not do it alone. I had done it alone for 20+ years and had TOTALLY screwed up my life (well...maybe not TOTALLY, ha!) why not try it GOD’s way. Plus I did not want to be a hypocrite! A hypocrite! What in the world would I be talking about? Well I never said that I didn’t know about CHRIST and GOD and what HE did for us, I said that I accepted HIM in my 20’s. My Mom, Dad, & Step-Mom made sure that we were churched. My Grandparent’s made sure we were churched. I just wanted to live my life with the fun I was having without having the HOLY SPIRIT convicting me on my actions! I literally told this to my Mom, she never argued with me she just prayed for me & then when I added Joey & Big D she prayed for them too. What if it was different?

The last what if comes from 2004, when my sweet a precious baby girl passed away. You can read about that post here: http://joejosdavdanmorrison.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html. Haley was in trouble for about a month but none of us even realized it. She had developed hydrops, she was anemic, and she was slowly dying in my womb, the very place where babies are supposed to be safe, my sweet girl was not! What if’s are: What if I would have demanded to see the OB the day I went in to have ultrasounds on my ever bloated feet & legs? What if we could have saved her if I would have ONLY shown signs of her dying (bleeding, vomiting, etc.)? What if GOD had and still has something that HE wants me to do about her death that glorifies HIM? What if I heard HIM wrong? I have been struggling with the last 2 for some time now (as well as I have some other struggles). I believe that GOD has promised me a little girl of my own one day because Haley could have died very early in the pregnancy. We were able to find out Haley was a girl, name her, & become VERY excited in anticipation of her arrival (I even had clothes for her already!!). I’m not really sure how to glorify HIM in her death except to do what I have been doing, faithfully serving HIM even though she is not here with us. WHAT IF I AM WRONG!?!?! What if this guessing I’m wrong is from the devil or what if I’m hearing from GOD? I’m not writing this for you my blogging friends & family to help me solve this, on the contrary! I am writing this to get it off my chest and this is cheaper than therapy!! So please bear with me & if you are lead to pray than do so PLEASE!!
Thanks in advance.

Memorial "Book"Monday June 1,2009

Ok, so today is Memorial Box (err Book) Monday! Not only is it Memorial "Book" Monday it is also the first day of school, um for me at least (JOY, JOY!!).
This is a book that may be familiar to you if you have ever done a swim team "Guppy Meet". As you can see this one is OLD! At least I wasn't when it happened (hahaha!). I wasn't doing so well by this time b/c..um, well lets just say all of it was feminie problems.
Even though by this time I wasn't doing well in swim team it is a great memory of my time participating in it. We had such fun doing swim team & I want to put my boys in by next summer. I can't wait!!
