CELEBRATE!!!!

That is what we did this past week.  We celebrated our 12th (Oh my goodness! Has it really been 12 years already!!) wedding anniversary by finally going out to eat at the Olive Garden.  It was just the two of us.  It was peaceful, we got to talk with out any interruption, & it just us!!!

Then a couple of days later, we celebrated my birthday.  It was a great day!  We, my helper & I, had all our little MDO talkers saying "Happy Birthday Mrs. Joscelyn" and I got a sweet & unexpected card from my sweet helper for the summer.  That was SO.VERY.NICE and so UNEXPECTED!!!  Then I got home and my kids cleaned the living room with the help of their little friends (that are girls, yes) and they waited on me all evening!!  We also got a letter that Big D has been accepted into the People to People Student Ambassador Program where he could one day go & "learn" in a foreign country during the summer :)!  I also got to go shopping alone for how ever long I wanted too.  Which wasn't long, but it was nice.

In all it has been a great celebration of our love & my birth (so many years ago)!  I feel so blessed and I love face book because it is better than sending a card :-)!!  *I love getting card too though*

This is where

I try to catch up somehow...

I like reading blogs about God, parenting, adoptions, photography, & photography challenges.  Many of these subjects intertwine together, but some of them don't.  I love reading them & getting ideas & even trying to take the pictures for the challenges....my BIGGEST problem is the uploading them and linking them up in time {sigh}.

So this is the post that I try to "catch up" by doing the "Sparkle" challenge from The Paper Mama, "Fireworks Shot" from The Pioneer Woman, and You Capture from I Should Be Folding Laundry.  All of these are Fourth of July related and I just L-O-V-E the 4th!!!

So here are those photos along with linking back to the person's blog....
My Sparkle

My Fireworks Shot (not very great but we had a great view!)

My Patriotism

I also have a red, white and blue.  I heart Faces has a carnival up (it is not judged) with this & here is mine, but I do not have the link up at this moment!!

Photo Inspiration: Red, white, & blue (for some reason this one isn't clear but it was in the camera-oh pooh!)

The Splash Pad

We visited our "local" Splash pad recently; & can I say that we just L.O.V.E. it there!!  We always have so much fun.  Of course, Joey and I get into the fun as well (why should just the boys have all the fun? ;P) we are after all just big kids.

The one we go to is free for everyone who wants to come, hopefully for a long time, and it has a playground along with the splash pad part.  The boys like being able to go from the water to the playground and back again.  I think that is why they enjoy this particular one so much.

I didn't get any pictures of the playground part this time, but we are supposed to go to a special little girl's birthday party there soon and so I'm sure I'll capture some then.
