Baby Showers

”Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner”

Well Kelly is hosting another great "Show us Your Life", and it is about baby shower's. Too see her post and everyone else's head over to her blog and see their posts. Kelly starts this blog carnival on Fridays, I am just a little too late, so I apologize for this.

I have attended many baby showers and have thrown..or more truthfully, helped thrown 3 or 4. I am going to try to find those pix to show you. I do, however, have my shower from Lil D on a CD that is near my computer so that is what I will put up & then I will add those others a bit later on. So I hope you enjoy it! :)

The YUMMY food at my shower. These ladies are AWESOME!!!

The presents my SWEET & LOVING family & friends brought to me ;)

My poor swollen feet one month before I gave birth.Me listening to the talk at my shower.

Well I know I have a pic of my hostess, but I don't know where it is (except in Lil D's baby book. I'll add those soon too ;)

I had a 2 baby showers for one of my friends..the first one was for her first little girl the 2nd was for her twins. The following pix are from the twins' babyshower:

The table as you walked into the buidling wih a sign in sheet. Do you see the footprints on the table cloth? I handmade them all around. It took HOURS to do but well worth the work!

The cake and mint table. Our wonderful Linda made these (I think!) they were SO yummy! Again I did the footprints on the table cloth & once again it took HOURS to do!

The drink table with some more goodies on it & YES I did this table cloth too ;)
The cake. Oh how yummy it was!! I am getting hungry now!
The hostesses for the Twins' baby shower!

Of course there are many more. These are the ones I can find & quickly post. I might do another one in a few months or this time next year to share 2 more babyshowers.

Favorite Vacation Spot

”Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner”

Ok so I have just started, not too long ago, reading Kelly's blog and she has "Show Us Your Life" weeks. This week is favorite vacation spot and can ANYONE guess where mine is?

If you guess the BEACH you are absolutely correct!! I love the beach..I love the sound of the waves crashing down onto the sand, I love the way my children's hair look with the sun hitting it, I love the way the jump the waves, play in the sand, swim in the pool/ocean and everything. I love the way it makes my children tired and go to bed early most nights after a sim. Can you say I just love the beach!? So here are some pictures. I wish I had more of them downloaded on my laptop but what I have will have to do so enjoy!

Big D at PCB. It was getting late but he still was playing with the beach ball.

Big D & his Pop when he was like 1 1/2 year old. He was so enjoying the calm waves that day.

Big D at Alabama Point. I got his cute little coverall soaking wet but they made beautiful pics.

Big D in Gulf Shores playing in the sand. I unfortunatly was unable to go this year :( but I have pics non the less-YAY!

Our first family pic at Gulf Shores (Lulu's to be precise!) a family of 4!

Playing in the sand at Gulf Shores and PCB, FL. Love these days & these BOYS!!He wanted to build a sand castle I think. This was in Gulf Shores in 2008.Big D with his name in the sand. He was TIRED of doing photos with me & wanted me to leave him alone, HAHAHA!!!

Last beach pic, 2008 in PCB, of our family. Lil D was VERY unhappy this day & turned out he was sick, poor baby.

So why don't you check out Kelly's blog & then add YOUR favorite vacation spot.

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

On Monday I did not go & try to be as nice as possible while I was trying to find out why our former pediatrician's office has yet to send my children's records. Obviously someone somewhere dropped the ball (not saying who though) and we have been at the new doctor's office since January!

On Wednesday I did not send one of my children out to the car with the pretense that we were leaving soon and then did not go near the car until at least 30+ minutes later, No NOT me! Let me say that this was at night and the window was rolled down so there was absolutely no danger to him at all.

I also did not encourage or cheer my youngest child on while he karate kicked his Daddy AND I certainly did not laugh out loud at him when he did sneak attacks, I would NEVER do that. I love my husband and have his well being at heart so this is totally unlike me (oh lightening PLEASE don’t strike me!! LOL). He (the youngest) needs to do some extra- curricular activities that is for sure, like karate & dance (Mrs. Shalita you got a class for us?).

On Thursday I did not let my 4 year old watch the very begining (like the first 15 minutes) of a suggestive, but he took it other ways, movie & I defiantly have not let him see the Part II of said movie (while I watched with him to help make it "better") a couple of weeks ago, no NOT me!

I certainly did not send Lil D to his Daddy this weekend to get him chocolate milk while I slept in, No NOT me!
So what have you NOT done this past week!?

A Review or Commentary

Well during my school breaks (if you want to call it that) I have actually gotten to do some autobiography reading (this is unusual for me) done that I wanted to tell you my family & friends about. I normally read books that are fiction, but hey I've done so many new things this year autobiographies have become the new trend for me...or so it seems. I do have ONE more to read but first I have to get it from my sweet friend-so hand it over-when you get a chance, PLEASE! (OK so they aren't really Christian books, I'll work on that).

OK on to the reviews--or my commentary of the books...

The first one I read was Multiple Bles8ings by Jon & Kate Gosselin & then I also read 8 Little Faces by Kate Gosselin. I liked the books & it told some of the story they have not mentioned on the show (so I learned new things). 8 Little Faces was a little expensive for what it was so I was disappointed in that (I could do what she did easily, but NO one would buy my book). So if you dig J & K + 8 and you want some more insights to J & K's relationship before kids and Kate's pregnancies than go out & buy this book (or if someone you know has it borrow it :]).

The second book I read was sTori Telling by Tori Spelling. This book is on Tori Spelling's life from being a small child (her first memories at least) on up to her marriage to Dean McDermott. She tells all the juicy stuff about Aaron & her relationship & how Candy (her Mom) took it (by Tori's point of view). By the way I do realize that there are two sides to every story (always) and Candy Spelling has her side out now also. She also talks about what went on at the set of Beverly Hills 90210 and being friends with the rest of the cast. This book was very easy to read & I think I read it in 5 days, I literally couldn't put the book down. Even if you don't like Tori Spelling that much or you love her & have always been a fan you need to read this book. She puts in many insights about being a starlit & her MANY irrational fears.

The last book, is the book I just finished the other day and that is Mommywood by Tori Spelling (she is a busy Momma!). Tori picks up from sTori Telling and starts off at her pregnancy with Liam on until Stella is about 6 to 8 months old (or in show time just before the show picks back up). I loved reading this book & seeing Tori all domesticated (is that a word?) cooking, sewing, designing a clothes line, & I felt like I could totally relate to her (that is if she moved in right next door to me or I saw her @ the store). Her fears are still there & just as irrational as ever (even though I have to admit-I've had some of the same fears creep into my mind as well) so some of them are totally noteworthy. I also really liked this book I had it 8 days & finished it in 5. Once again the wording and all is easy to read & it is a really fun book.

So yes I read all these books. I don't think you'll be disappointed & if you are, um I'm sorry. I really liked them & I thought others would want to know too. Oh, if you want to borrow them (all but Multiple Bles8ings) than I have them & you can. OK review/commentary over.
