Not Me! Monday

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

Hello there friends, let me give you a small intro to Not Me! Monday.  Not Me! Monday is a blog carnival that was made up by MckMama to feel better about the things that she did do, but wished she hadn't or wants to get off her chest.  You can go to MckMama’s blog and join the carnival fun too :).

I did not call my husband on Saturday & say no one uses the check card for anything.  Because we always have moolah in our account & we never ever have to watch it to be sure we have enough for groceries, birthday presents, & behavior rewards.  Nope not us!

On Thursday, I wasn't ready for a nap & I defiantly did not wonder why all the sweet little ones weren't asleep.  I mean my entire class takes a nap everyday & none of them ever have sleeping problems- I also do not ever have to pat, rub, tickle backs to get them to sleep, nope not me!

On Saturday I didn't tell my youngest that I would buy him some cheap silly bands just to get him to stop whining only to find out that we had no money.  I also did not make them put back what they had picked out to buy (for rewards) & put back everything in my hands too.  I mean what happened to no one using the check card...I also did not have an almost melt down because of it & some other things going on.

Earlier this month I did not let this guy take my money without getting the title from him.  I mean I am not that naive & I would never do that...because ya know I know not to do this & I will never ever not do this again!

So if you would like to join in to the blog carnival fun than go here to join other Mom's in Not Me! Monday.

Five {things} Friday

I saw this on Katie’s  blog & that I would try it out also, ya know since it is still Friday & I can & all :)

5 Things I Did Yesterday:

I watched my sweet babies get on the bus for school & my heart melted as they waved "bye" at me.

I watched the sweet kiddos from MDO loving every minute of it, but was exhausted by the end of the day.

Took a teeny tiny unnap before my kids got home from school

Whine & complain that my throat was starting to hurt & so has my sinuses-since Wednesday!

Enjoyed my boys & family for the night-so love them.

5 Random Things on my Mind:

My head is hurting me soo bad that I may not have a mind too much longer.

Watching my husband & my youngest son play football together last night was totally cool.

I want chocolate or chocolate cookie dough & we have barely any money nor do we have any here :(.

I want to try to take more pictures so I can practice with my almost one year camera.

Why am I watching this show?!? (so of course I changed it ;))

5 Things that I can't live without:

My cell phone- it isn't anything special but I use it all day long!

The heel spur green things that a friend has lent me- those things are a LIFE saver for sure!!

My camera, camera bag, the lenses, e.t.c. (yep very worldly I know)

A cup of sweet tea or water!  I just can't get enough right now.

My bible, Journey devotion magazine, & a pen/paper!  I love my new routine & I wish I would have started it alot sooner!

5 Things I'm grateful for:

God, Jesus & the stripes He took so that we can be healed!

My man & boys (with my other family members too)

Tiny fingers & toes that I still get to play with & love on

Long, hot baths

Great friends

So how about you?  What is your top 5 things?

Cicada's Song

You might want to know why in.the.world I would name this post after an insect.  Well, because it is a sweet precious memory I want forever to keep (or at least forever as long as we are here forever).

The Cicada is an insect that lives primarily in the ground and then after about 13 to 17 years they come up to molt & then live out their adult life.  They also have a song & if you live in the south I am c.e.r.t.a.i.n that you have heard it.  Wikipedia also says that they live in the north & some places their "song" is like an airplane passing over you.  High decibls on your ear drums-let me tell you!

So the memory...I can remember going to my grandmother's house (I am sure both, but just one memory @ a time please!) Mama Jo and going outside to the pond, or riding on the 4 wheeler, or even jumping on the trampolene and hearing these unique bugs.  Of course, they are still there...but they are just such a "sign of summer" to me & those wonderful weeks I spent at my grandmother's home.

Oh, they are also here at my house too.  Rascal enjoys them as well but for another reason...to play with them to death, literally!

My BIG Boy

Well it is official...Lil D is not so little anymore.  Insert a sad face here & a sigh!  O.k. so back to my story.  I came home from getting some milk to cook supper with & found out that all the boys were gone.  I figured that they had gone walking so I just started to cook supper.  Joey called me while walking back home & that is when I found out that Lil D had his very.first at home play date.

Big D has been able to go play with his friend D.L. for several years now & Lil D has SO wanted to go-somewhere.  Anyhow, Lil D & Joey was taking a walk on Monday & Lil D saw one of his bus/classmates & they played for a little bit.  Then they came home & he told me all about it.  So..when he asked his Daddy if he could go play with his friend Joey said lets go.

Isn't that the cutest thing?!  I was a little upset that I was not here to witness it or take him but I went to pick him up & got to meet the little friend's Mom.  I am just SO glad that Lil D has found a friend & he lives semi close to us. Insert sigh of relief here!

I know no pictures this time-sorry!!  I wasn't here to witness the event & I was just trying to get them home to eat dinner :-)

Lil D's sayings...

Well good ole school has started back here & Lil D gets to go this year.  He has had some funny things that he has shared with me since school has started back & here are a few of them:

I like my teacher, but I don't want to go back to school tomorrow.  Why not sweetie? Well because I don't like to rest.

Mommy I don't have to go to school tomorrow. Why can't you go to school tomorrow Lil D?  Because Daddy just said it was gonna rain tomorrow & I don't have to go when it rains.

Did you have a good day today?  Yea, but we had to wait on this gurl to open up the door & she couldn't get it opened so we had to wait 60 minutes for her to open it.  60 minutes!! Wow that is a long time.  No, Mommy I meant to say 60 seconds not minutes or a couple of minutes.

This is for being a good-good boy, but I was a little bit bad & just sat on the wall so I wasn't that bad.

And so was Lil D's first week of school in K-5 :)

Convictions & Listening

Normally I do not talk about religion much on my blog.  I am a Christian & I l-o-v-e Christ with most (if I said all I would totally be lying) of my heart, soul, & mind.  So, why don't I share my faith & what is happening spiritually-um, well I think that is where the "most" comes in don't you?

Last Sunday, during Sunday School, our children was promoted into the next class for the year.  Big D went to the 5th grade class and Lil D went to the K-5 class with Mrs. Laine & Mrs. Rhonda and I was SO excited for him (them both) (now just so no one gets hurt I was equally excited when our children has moved up each time) & I had been thinking well now that both of our children were out of the extended session & I could quit working it & be in big church for awhile.  Now please don't get me wrong, I love doing extended session with the lil ones & all.  I just feel like that I need to be in big church b/c normally we miss our Sunday School class and with school starting back that also means that AWANA will too & I will be missing night church too.  This was what I was telling myself, but obviously that wasn't what was in my heart because Sunday night during church I was so strongly convicted about saying that I was no longer "needed" in that area.

Well I looked @ Joey & said he just kicked my tail about extended session & Joey said that he felt that he was talking straight to me also-GAR!! So I have to find out where my heart & soul is about that & move on from there-- I have some praying to do about the subject.

I listen pretty good.  I am a listener & a people pleaser (no you.may.not use this against me,ha) these are two things that I know about me.  So anyhow....,

I listened to GOD when He said not to go to school this time.  I did ask Him "Why, Lord?" but of course I did not hear His answer.

I listened to GOD when he said to Go to a completly different school that I have never been to before.  Once again, I said "but Lord, I know the school here & I like the people here & I know exactly where I.am.going!" I am still working on this one but I am one step closer than I was a week ago.

I listened to GOD when it came to the new-to-me car too.  Well I listened to my Mom when I listened to Him, but isn't that part of being a child of God to listen to those wiser than you?

In all what am I trying to say? well...when God speaks either thru me, convicting me, or through someone/thing else than I need to listen to Him.  He is the one that knows what is best & what is in the future- I.Do.Not!  I have a peace & I know that all will be okay, because He will never leave me nor forsake me!  Praise GOD & praise him that my new-to-me car is still going strong, Whohoo!!

The Animal Kingdom & Epcot

I think that this post will be mostly of pictures.  This way I can show you the rest of our Disney World trip.

The Animal Kingdom is like a great.big.reserve.  It houses many wild animals that you could see at the zoo or any other nature place.  We (as in Lil D, Joey & I) took the Safari Ride and saw most of these animals there.

Epcot is such a neat place!  You can literally walk around the world in a day.

This park also houses intervations which is where we lost Big D too everytime.  I think the pictures are pretty self explanatory.  Enjoy!

We were moving, but it still is pretty!

@ Epcot's intervations center!

This is a make your own roller coaster ride :)

Germany

England or France- not sure which

I think this one is England

Japanense Gardens

Look who got to ride!
