Pumpkin Patch

So on Monday I went with Lil D's class to the very local pumkin patch.  I had never been to this one before & it is more unique than the other one I have been too.  The kids got to do 5 things including getting a pumpkin to take home & eating a snack.  SO...I will let pictures tell the rest of the story.....
Arriving @ the pumpkin patch

First was game time, they scooted on their bottoms holding on to one another to a certain point.

Rolling Lil D

& during the hayless hay ride

we got to see 8 + horses

a story time before getting a pumpkin

After getting a pumpkin we saw some snakes....

a tarantula and a beautiful dog.  Then we headed over to get our snack.  Here are some pics can you guess what our snack was?

If you guess s'mores than you are right!!  They were so yummy too!!  We then had lunch there and headed back to the school.  What a great day with my Lil D!!!!

The last two Weekends

Have been fun but nothing to really blog about ya know.  But since I am trying to remember that this is mostly a way for us to remember what we did at this time than I am gonna blog about it...for me & if you want to you can come along for the ride, mmkay?

Well the 3rd weekend in Oct actually started on Friday for us this time because the boys had 2 extra days off of school.  So we slept in (well I slept in mostly) and then we got ready to go to the park.  It wasn't our "normal" park that we usually go to but none-the-less it was a park.  It is a fun park, a park where we all were able to do the things we all wanted to do.  I got to walk at least a mile & half and the boys got to delight in playing on the many playgrounds or the swings.  Afterwards, I delighted myself in a mini-impromptu photo shoot with them by the small pond/water fountain there.  They were, mmm cooperative to say the least.

On Saturday Auburn was playing Arkansas, so I decided that once again I would take the boys to the park (fear not, I was being updated on my team ;]) and walk while they played.  The park once again was completely empty and so of course we got to do the things we wanted to do & all was happy.  Afterwards we went to Sonic for "happy hour" and got some drinks & then we went to 2 more parks!  It was such a great day with the boys.  I also took them on what I call window shopping & so we looked around the stores for quite a bit.

Sunday we got to hear our Minister of Music's son in love preach the Word of God & then had some great family time/church family time with children's choir & AWANA's.

On Monday we cleaned :)...it wasn't fun but we needed to do it.  I have tried to keep it up all week long & did a good job of it until Friday night early Saturday morning when the kids went to an all night lock in at our local YMCA.  I am told that they had TONS of fun and that it was too cute with all the kids laying on their sleeping bags with the gyms lights turned off-I am SO not a morning person so Joey was a good husband/Dad and went to get the boys!

Saturday I took the 3 D's to the park once again! They played on the equipment while I walked once again & then we hit up Sonic (once again) for some yummy drink treat and a small snack. Once again not only did we go to one park but a total of 2 parks before the smallest D had a meltdown in an empty playground.  So, what does a meltdown in an empty playground= time to go home!  We didn't though, he calmed down & promised to be good if I would take them somewhere else so we went to Big Kmart.  He was good & it got to be dark so I brought them home.

It was a fun-filled weekend & I know next weekend well be completely full too.  Tomorrow Lil D & I will be going to a pumpkin patch so there may be an extra post up this week- you never know with me! ;)

For National Babyloss Rememberence Day

Oct 15, 2010 a Friday is a day dedicated to remember all the babies lost either thru miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, etc, and for all the parents to unite as one to remember them & pray for each other, their families, etc.

At 7 p.m. women, and men, from around the world light a candle or more to represent the children that have passed away & who are in the presence of Christ now.  No matter the circumstances of the child's death they unite as one...here is my pictures from this year.......
For sweet Haley Joe & the miscarriage...

Rascal wondering what is going on

Haley, I wished I had more time with you...but I will cherish the time I did have with you & I will NEVER forget but most of all I wished I had just one picture of you & I together..Mother & daughter!  Your Daddy & I will always love you sweet baby girl!!  We light the candle for you! XOXOXOX
and as always I am at least a day late!! Better that than never huh?!?

2nd Weekend of Oct

Of course I am writing this on a Friday (of the next weekend, but oh well..it is getting done).
On Friday I spent most of my night chopping & preparing food for the next day.  I did go to M*chael's & to H*bby *obby to purchase some items that were needed.  The boys were really good & didn't get into too much trouble.  I was very proud of them.  Lil D got very sleepy and crashed pretty much were he was...

...poor little guy.  Momma was SO ignoring him that he had to "cuddle up" by Daddy.  Oopses!
On Saturday A friend & I (with the help of Joey, my Momma, & some other really g.r.e.a.t. friends) catered a wedding.  Our soon-to-be business All About Pix & Parties was honored to cater a sweet friend daughter's wedding ceremony.  We got alot of experience and some awesome reviews-YAY!!!  I can't wait until we are an actual business but we want to have some more experience so..email us or go to our facebook page to see if we can cater (or take pictures) for your next event.  We also plan events, we do whatever YOU want us to do basically!
Sunday morning I got up & meet my children & my Dad at their church for the church's homecoming.  We had a great sermon & it was neat to hear the history of their church.  Then we ate some really awesome food.  I was still tired from the day/night before but in all I felt simply wonderful! After church the kids & I headed to my Grandparent's home to celebrate my Grandmothers birthday.  They had tons of cake & goodies that were so delectable.  I took some pics of my cousins little boy & then we had to jet off so we could go to church & have children's choir & AWANA.
In all it was a wonderfully, good weekend!  How about yours?!

Big D's Poem

Last Friday Big D had to write a poem in a certain format for school.  When I got to open house this past Tuesday night I saw them up on the wall.  This is what he came up with...

David-
Loving, excited
Brother of Daniel & Haley (angel sister)
Lover of all video & board games.
Who feels fine,
Who needs organization skills,
Who gives his heart,
Who fears the dark,
Who would like to see a day of rest,
Who lives in a cream & green townhome,
-Morrison

This is what he turned in & he did it in the Curlz font so it looks really neat.  This is what I wrote until I read the directions...

David
Smart, funny
a sponge,
Living life to the fullest,
playing with friends,
playing with games
&
loving, serving, & praising God!

This was defaintly a cool, fun project that I jumped in on.  I used to write alot & stopped once I had children.  I once wrote a poem for my Mom for Mother's Day...it made her cry.  I don't like to write for school projects though--I hate having restrictions on my writings.

Just thought I would share his poem, so what have your children done this year that is creative like this?

1st Weekend of October (a month full of fun!)

We had a great; fun-filled; weekend this past weekend.

Friday night we went to Gardendale Elementary annual fall festival.

This is a great way for a school to make a few extra bucks & for the kids to have a blast.

My Mom teaches at the school & we have gone to have fun for the past 3 years.

We've had an awesome time & are thankful that we got to go to it this year again.

On Saturday we went to Homestead Hollow.  We got a late start going & only had about 2 hours to look around & enjoy ourselves.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I have no pictures.  The boys did get to ride the horse wagon (with the driver in fact) & got 5 minutes in the bouncy house too.  They wanted to do the Euro bounce thing again, but I didn't bring enough moolah .:sigh:. next time maybe.?.

Saturday night we went to a sweet "gurl's" 12th birthday party.  It was a 1960's-70's party &

they had face painting....

groovy dancing.....

tye dying....

& of course ...........

food

&

cake!
On Sunday we went to morning church & heard a wonderful, reinforcing (to me) sermon about what we talked about in Sunday School & then headed to McDonald's & the park for some more food & fun.  After Joey got home we returned back to church to honor a very special woman's birthday within our church & had a time of fellowship, soup/chili, & devotion.  What a great way to end a most perfect weekend :-)
