More Gulf Shores

As mentioned in the previous post, we still went on our annual trip to Gulf Shores, AL to my Grandparent's condo.  They are up on the market (so if anyone is interested) and we fear that this may be the last time we get to stay in THAT condo with that condo number.  By the way, I think I mentioned that we stayed @ Boardwalk in the last post & we have a great view from the 8th floor!

One night we went to Pirate Island Mini Golf.  Joey of course won, I came in second, M's 3rd and then Big & Lil D. 

Afterwards, we were SO hot we decided that we should stop by Scoops to get some ice cream.  Yes, Ferrill family you were in our thoughts as we ate our yummy ice cream that night.

We did some Souvenir shopping on several occasions during the afternoon before returning from going out for lunch.  We go out for lunch instead of dinner because it seems to be cheaper, also you don't have the crowd you do at night.

On one lunch outing we went to Lulu's Marina, one of our most favorite places to eat ;).  We love Lulu's & I think Lil D loves it the most.  The year before last he even got in the water bucket,LOL!

On the night before our last night there we went to The Track.  We go there pretty much every year now- we used to go to Waterville all the time but when we started to go to Alabama Adventure we quit.  We have loads of fun riding all the rides & the kids especially have fun driving!!

Gulf Shores 2010

When I found out about the Gulf of Mexico being filled up with the oil crisis I have to be honest...I was upset!!  How dare they miss up something that we loved soo much with something so ugly and unclean.  Yes, I like oil it is great for the uses we use it for but for those who are in charge--TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE!!!

Anyhow, what do I really know?  Except that my most favorite beaches are being closed for the time being, boo!!

I am happy to say though that we did not cancel our yearly trip to Gulf Shores, AL and we are so glad that we went.  We had some awesome times down there this year and I know that my kids and my niece will cherish the memories for many years to come.

Of course we couldn't stay at Boardwalk and not eat at Sea-n-Suds at least 2 times this past week.  Everyone in our party loves Sea-n-Suds they have something for all of us to enjoy.

We also got to swim our little hearts out in the pool.  The kids had a blast & so did Mom & I, we laid out has much as we could.

What is a beach trip without playing in the sand?  That would not do at all!!

Lil D's birthday party

So Lil D turned 5 on June 10th and I made him, his class, and teachers some strawberry cupcakes for him to share.  We really didn't celebrate his birthday that day except to tell him "Happy Birthday"

So, before you get onto me for not celebrating my little man's acutal day of birth, he had an awesome day the next day.  We celebrated with family and friends at our local YMCA with a Madness Party.  We got the moonwalk, basketballs & court, and the pool.  I think all that came had a blast.

Thank you to all who came to celebrate Lil D's 5th birthday.  We hope you and your kids enjoyed it as much as we did!

This is number FIVE!!

Wow!!  I cannot believe that I am a mom of a ten year old & now a five year old!  Why do they have to grow up SO fast, but then again they are both at such a fun & independent age. 

Five years ago @ 7:48 Lil D made his appearance into this world!  I still can't believe it, but I can.  I rejoice that he is here with us..so that we can love on him & praise GOD that he gave him to us.

We all love Lil D so much & he is such a joy to be around.  Lil D is a go getter & is ALWAYS smiling.  He is energetic, loving, a cuddle buddy, and well can you say P-E-R-S-O-N-A-L-I-T-Y!   Oh my, what personality!!  Oh, how much I love him!!  I am excited that he gets to go to "big school" this coming up school year & I can't wait to see how he acts for them. hehee!!

Happy Birthday sweet "baby" boy!!  Mommy loves you more & more everyday.  What a blessing you are!?  I am truly blessed to be your Mom & I want to do what GOD wants me to do for you.  Which includes bringing you up right & disciplining you as the BIBLE suggests.  I hope you have a wonderful birthday party & you enjoy many, MANY more birthdays.

My Little Man Graduated!!

Oh my goodness!  I can not believe that I forgot the BIGGEST main thing we did in May, except for Mother's Day (of course!), and that is Lil D's 4-K graduation!

So..I'm a couple of weeks late posting this, whatcha gonna do, sue me? ha!!

Lil D has attended a great local preschool where he started late fall of 2008, in fact, he only had 4 weeks to prepare for his program that year & knew it ALL in time for it, YAY my little man!!

My prayer for my baby is that his future is bright & full of GOD.  That he follows HIM throughout the days of his life and that he knows HIM so that he can spend eternity in heaven.
