The Smoky Mountains 2011

We had a very frugal but great vacation to the smokies.  The most we spent was on Lil D's birthday (thanks to my Mom & Sister).  We feel horrible that they spent that money on us, but blessed at the same time that they were willing to spend it all on us.  Here are some of the things we did, besides walking around Gaitlinburg, TN!!

While we were there I took a "photography class" and used what I learned while we were there...here are some of my pictures:

Birthday Pictures for Lil D 2011

First off...

We had a wonderful time with Lil D on his actual birthday June 10 and then for his birthday party on June 12!!

We were in Gaitlinburg, TN when our baby boy had his birthday.  We asked him were he wanted to eat and he got a twinkle in his eye and said with his elfish grin "The HardRock Cafe"!  We took him, of course, along with the waterpark; playtime @ FunFort and much more!!

The day after we got home it was party time with family and friends :).  It was a beautiful, hot day on Sunday but we were blessed to be able to have it at a park where we could stick our feet in (if we wanted too) or go into some woods to cool off. 

Then the boys got to have another surprise!!!  A little spend-the-night with their Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, & cousin while Mommy & Daddy visited Papah/Mamah for Papah's birthday and Father's day.  It was a good but very long day!

Dear Lil D,

     You are such a gift from God and we are so blessed to have you!  I love you (and your brother) so much that I don't think words could ever describe how much I love you.  You are one of the best things that ever happened to me and you are so awesome, I thank God for you every single day and I am so happy to be your Mommy!!

    I can describe you just by how you look and that describes your personality perfectly.  Your hair is like a ray of sunshine that shines during the brightest, summer day.  Your eyes are blue like the sky or the ocean that touches the sand in the tropics.  Your smile and laugh brightens even the cloudiest of days and is so entirely contagious.  You can just turn my frown upside down.  Your personality is exactly how your features are.  Contagious, brightening, and sunshiny.  Although, you are a very stubborn child, but I know one day this will help you with what God has intended you to do.  You are very loving, caring, and friendly with pretty much everyone you meet.  Oh and let's not forget about how strong-willed you are, you find a way to get what you want and will stop at nothing to get it.  

You are in a 5-6 to 7-8 shirts and at least a Small shorts.  You are a stout little boy, but not fat.  Your Daddy was commenting on all of your Hawiian shirts and how you and your Pop liked to wear them and you agreeded wholeheartedly... not only do Pop and you like to wear the same type of shirts, you also look very much alike. 

Little boy, we love you so much and we are so glad, blessed, and completely thrilled that you are in our lives.  Happy 6th Birthday Blondie!!!
